Secret Song Club

Welcome to Secret Song Club!
If you love live music, but not loud crowds, this is the place for you. We organize music parties, house concerts, and open mics in backyards and living rooms throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

We’re all about creating listening spaces where people can hear music with less background chatter. You don’t have to be a songwriter or a musician to attend. Everyone is welcome.

All donations go to the featured performers. The only part of the club that’s secret is the location. To request the address, join our mailing list.

Hello. I’m Drew Pearce, an event promoter, music journalist, and singer/songwriter from the bands Darrington and Late But Ready. Since 2004, I’ve been booking and presenting house concerts and music parties in living rooms, backyards, and listening spaces throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Over the years, I’ve had a chance to present many of my music heroes, including Peter Case of the Plimsouls, Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket, Jill Sobule, Gregory Alan Isakov, Amber Rubarth, Noe Venable, and many more.

After lockdowns lifted, I decided to shift focus to create more opportunities for local musicians to meet and collaborate. Our shows include an open mic because I want to give more songwriters a chance to be heard. If that’s your jam, join us!

In 2024, I launched a YouTube series called Tiny House Concerts where I talk with musicians about how they’re simplifying their lives to create sustainable careers as indie artists.

The first episodes feature five of my favorite songwriters, Amie Penwell, Rick Hardin, Meredith Edgar, Austin Willacy, and Aireene Espiritu who came up to play songs and tell the stories behind them.
